From it's 2016 success, Worcestershire Street Sixies is back. Organisers took to the streets in Worcestershire city centre to create an enormous cricket ground.
Teams forming from a host of local businesses and organisations, each battling it out in matches played on impromptu pitches in Angel Place and Broad Street. There were 24 teams of six who took part in the event, including two from the event sponsors the Worcestershire Ambassadors.
The purpose of the event is to help bring cricket to a wider audience, showcasing that sport can be played in the most unlikely of places. The event also helps raise money for the Worcestershire Cobham Cricket Trust, which takes cricket into disadvantaging communities and helps young people with limited opportunities.
